We are expecting three litters in 2008.
The first litter, out of Stella and Rex, is due in March and will be born on Oahu. We're expecting medium and large standards.
The second litter, out of Annie and Rex, will most likely be due in early fall, and will also be born on Oahu.
The third litter, out of Ginger and Harvey, will likely be due the end of the year. This litter, born on Kauai, will also be medium and large standards.

We charge $2000 for our puppies, regardless of sex or color. In order to reserve your puppy, we will require a $300 non-refundable deposit. We understand that this might seem high, but there are many well-meaning folks who get on the waiting lists for more than one breeder. They take the first puppy available, but then when the next breeder has a puppy for then, that puppy doesn't have the home intended for it. We want to ensure that our babies all get to their new homes at the best possible time for their bonding and socialization, and having to find a new family at the last minute isn't fair to the puppy, or to us as the breeder.
We promise to do our best to provide you with the puppy that appears to be the best match for you in terms of your preferences for coat, color and temperament. The more you tell us about yourself, your family and your lifestyle, the better chance we will have of making a perfect match.
Our normal practice is that we do not assign puppies to their new homes until they are about seven weeks old. This gives the puppies time to develop their individual personalities, so we can make the best possible match between your family, and which puppy best meets your need.
The puppies are all temperment tested by Hawaii Fi-Do at about six weeks of age. At that time we can determine which pups will go into training as service dogs, and which will make the best possible family pets.
Our waiting list is ordered according to the date of receipt of the deposit. When the next litter is born, you will be notified of the likelihood that we will be able to meet your preferences for color and/or sex of your puppy. You will always have the chance to change your mind about your preferences; please remember that the stronger your preferences for color, coat and sex, the longer it may take for your puppy to be born.
All our therapy, companion and family pups will arrive to you already neutered. We are firm supporters of the early spay/neuter program, believing it to be better for the health and well-being of the puppy itself.
Our puppies will also come with a three year guarantee against hereditary health problems. We will require you to take your new puppy to your veterinarian within 72 hours of its arrival, to ensure that any health problems might be quickly identified.
Our breeding dogs have had their hips evaluated by one of the two generally accepted methods -- either the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA)or the University of Pennsylvania Hip Improvement Program (PennHIP). All our puppies that go to Honolulu for service dog training are pennhipped, so that we've been able to see that our parent dogs are producing consistently healthy hips.
Research has shown that medical issues such as hip dysplasia are a combination of genetics and environment, however. Always try to keep in mind that your new puppy is going to be growing for more than a year, and any undue pressure on developing hip joints can be injurious in the long run. You'll want to make sure that your puppy does not gain weight too quickly, and certainly does not become overweight. Avoid over-exercising your new puppy as well, and don't, for instance, take your puppy with you jogging until he or she is at least a year old.
